Digital Marketing Consultant
13+ years helping businesses in US, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE & India grow through SEO and AI-powered marketing.
Information
It's for B2B SaaS and software companies that already have product-market fit, sell into the US or UK, and want organic search to carry a real share of pipeline. I work with founders, marketing leaders and growth teams who want a senior consultant on the account rather than an agency team.
SaaS buyers rarely start with your brand name. They search for the job they need done, for alternatives to the tool they already pay for, and for whether a product integrates with their stack. So the work centers on bottom-of-funnel pages and a site crawlers can render, and it is measured in demos and trials, not sessions.
| Page type | Typical search | What the page has to prove |
|---|---|---|
| Comparison | "[your product] vs [competitor]" | Real feature and pricing differences, and who each tool suits better |
| Alternatives | "[competitor] alternatives" | Why teams switch, what migration takes, and where you are the weaker fit |
| Integration | "[category] that integrates with Salesforce" | What syncs, how setup works, and the current limits |
| Use case or industry | "[category] for [industry or role]" | The workflow in that buyer's own words, with a worked example |
| Free tools and templates | "[task] template", "[metric] calculator" | Solves the task on the page, then shows where the product saves time |
| Docs and help center | "how to [task] in [product]" | Accurate steps that keep customers and that AI assistants can quote |
These pages sit closest to revenue. They are also what AI assistants quote: on the Indigo Software engagement, licensing comparisons (per-core vs CAL, Standard vs Datacenter) and activation guides drove most of the pickup in Google's AI features.
It means making sure search engines and AI crawlers get your content in the HTML, not only after JavaScript runs. Google renders JavaScript in a separate step and warns that not all bots can run it. Vercel's December 2024 crawler study found OpenAI's, Anthropic's and Perplexity's crawlers don't execute JavaScript, so client-rendered copy can be invisible to AI answers.
noindex, and not blocked in robots.txt, because a blocked page can't show Google its noindex tag.Measure first, then fix the pages AI engines already pull from. I run the questions your buyers ask through all four engines with web search on, record which sources each one cites, and restructure your key pages so every section answers one question in its first two sentences, states the number, and names the product in full.
That structure is what moved Indigo Software. Impressions inside Google's AI features (AI Overviews and AI Mode) went from 19,543 in May 2026 to 215,070 in August 2026, on content that already existed and with no new link building aimed at it. Not every number went up: Bing AI citations for the same site fell from a June peak of 36,900 to 9,000 in August.
I run the same test on this site. On 24 September 2026, 10 buyer prompts across the four engines produced 40 answers, and this site was cited in 3 of them. One was Claude's answer to "Best SEO consultant in India for SaaS and software companies", which used my guide on evaluating a B2B SaaS SEO consultant as its first source. Three in 40 is a baseline, not a trophy. In an engagement I re-run the same prompt set every month, so you can see whether your number moves.
The full method is in my GEO and AEO guide.
My most complete public case study is Indigo Software, a US Microsoft software reseller: $583,956 in GA4-tracked organic revenue over 28 months, organic clicks up 482% and average position from 31.5 to 8.8. It sells B2B software licenses through WooCommerce. It is not a SaaS subscription business, and I don't present it as one.
It belongs on this page because its buyers behave like SaaS buyers. Before purchasing they compare editions (Standard vs Datacenter), licensing models (per-core vs CAL) and installation steps: the same comparison and how-to searches SaaS buyers run before a demo.
| Metric | Start | Latest verified |
|---|---|---|
| Organic clicks per month | 436 (May 2024) | 2,539 peak (Jan 2026) |
| Average Google position | 31.5 (May 2024) | 8.8 (Aug 2026) |
| Organic revenue (GA4) | Tracked from May 2024 | $583,956 over 28 months |
| Organic conversions | Tracked from May 2024 | 5,633 |
| Best single month | Tracked from May 2024 | $50,901 (Oct 2025) |
| Google AI-feature impressions | 19,543 (May 2026) | 215,070 (Aug 2026) |
| Indexed pages | 1,070 (before the May 2026 restart) | 2,150 (Jul 2026) |
Three levers, applied every month the work was active: on-page SEO on 15+ key pages, about 100 editorial links a month (2,223 placements across 608 referring domains, none of them paid), and buyer-intent content. One sprint of 48 "how to install" and "download" pages in November 2024 took monthly organic clicks from 617 to 1,269 in 30 days.
The work paused in March and April 2026. In those two unattended months a broken Merchant Center feed flooded Search Console with junk impressions, and a developer-side bug noindexed core money pages. Repair took most of the restart, and I removed three months of inflated Search Console data from the case study rather than show it.
“He came in at a time when we were facing real technical visibility challenges, including Bing indexing issues, and methodically helped diagnose and resolve them. But what truly sets Kulbhushan apart is that he doesn't just ‘fix SEO problems’; he ties SEO work directly to business outcomes.”

The first 90 days go to three things: removing what stops Google and AI crawlers from reading the site, mapping buyer searches to pages, and shipping the first bottom-of-funnel pages. You get a written audit within five business days, a 90-day roadmap ranked by expected impact, weekly progress updates and a monthly report.
| When | Work | You receive |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | Access to Search Console, GA4, the CMS and staging. Kickoff on your ideal customer, competitors and the objections sales hears most. | A shared tracker, plus an AI-citation baseline for your buyer prompts |
| Weeks 1 to 2 | Technical audit: crawling, rendering, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data and AI crawler access. | A written audit with a prioritized fix list within 5 business days |
| Weeks 3 to 4 | Search-to-page map across the funnel, competitor gap review, and a plan for comparison, alternatives and integration pages. | A 90-day roadmap, every item ranked by expected impact |
| Month 2 | Technical fixes shipped with your developers, the first bottom-of-funnel pages live, internal links rebuilt around them. | Weekly progress updates |
| Month 3 | More bottom-of-funnel pages, link building, and an AI-citation re-test. | The first monthly report: organic pipeline, rankings, AI citations and next month's priorities |
On Indigo Software, rankings first moved in months 3 to 4 and revenue peaked in month 18. Plan on six to twelve months before organic search is a dependable pipeline channel. If you need pipeline sooner than that, I'll say so on the first call: paid search will serve you better.
SEO is the wrong channel for some SaaS companies, and I would rather say so before you sign than three months in.
