Key Takeaways

  • I build production AI automations on n8n, Make, and Zapier. Multi-step workflows, AI agents, and generative AI pipelines, all with a human approval gate before anything sends, publishes, or charges.
  • The 2026 lesson from Klarna (700 AI support agents replaced, 22% CSAT drop, rehiring humans): pure autonomy fails on nuance. I position AI agents to handle volume; humans handle judgment. Both sides win.
  • Marketing automation delivers $6.71 for every $1 invested. 76% of teams hit positive ROI within year one (Nucleus Research / Marketo 2026).
  • n8n vs Zapier in plain English: Zapier wins on simple form-to-CRM pipes. n8n wins everywhere else. AI workflows, branching, looping, and scale where per-task pricing breaks the math.
  • Every engagement is built and managed directly by me. No outsourcing, no account managers, no black-box agencies. Tools you can own and maintain after I'm done.

AI Automation Services: n8n Workflows, AI Agents & Generative AI for B2B Teams

Marketing automation delivers $6.71 for every dollar invested (Nucleus Research). AI-driven workflows produce 20 to 30% higher ROI than traditional process automation. Yet most B2B businesses still handle manually what AI agents and generative AI workflows can do in seconds. 63% of top-performing companies already run systematic AI automation. The rest are falling behind.

Three Capabilities, One Approach

I build production automations across three layers. Pick whichever fits where your team is right now.

  • Workflow automation (n8n, Make, Zapier). The modern alternative to robotic process automation (RPA) for marketing and sales operations. Replaces repetitive business processes with systems that run 24/7 without manual input.
  • AI agents and agentic AI. AI copilots that research prospects, qualify leads, draft outreach, and route customer support tickets. Every action passes through a human approval gate before sending or charging.
  • Generative AI pipelines. Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity wired into your content, predictive analytics, and machine learning workflows. Plus AI search visibility (GEO/AEO) so your brand gets cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews.

Why n8n and Why Now

Zapier's per-task pricing breaks the math once you scale past simple form-to-CRM pipes. A 10-step workflow run 1,000 times is 10,000 billable Zapier tasks, or just 1,000 n8n executions. n8n is also self-hostable, code-friendly, and AI-native (LangChain support and 70+ AI nodes in n8n 2.0). That is why it has become the go-to for AI agent orchestration and complex automation services.

I build on n8n when the workflow needs branching, looping, AI reasoning, or scale. I still use Zapier and Make when speed-to-launch matters more than depth. Right tool for the right job.

How I Work

Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute workflow audit. I map your current business processes, identify the highest-ROI automation candidates, and send you a written report within 5 business days. You get the report whether or not we end up working together. No outsourcing, no account managers. Every system is built and managed directly by me.

Three Ways to Work With Me

Most clients start with a free workflow audit, then move into a build or retainer only when there's a real ROI to chase. Pricing depends on scope. We agree on the number before any work starts.

AI Agents I Build (With a Human Approval Gate)

Every AI agent I build follows the same rule. AI handles volume, humans handle nuance. The Klarna lesson from 2025 made the trade-off obvious: they replaced 700 support agents with AI, watched CSAT drop 22%, then rehired humans. The configurations below all route to a human approval step before anything ships to a customer or charges a card.

Lead Qualification Agent

Workflow: Form submit, enrich in Clay or Apollo, score on ICP fit, draft personalised outreach in Claude, route to Slack for human approval, send via HubSpot.

Cuts inbound lead-to-outreach time from days to under 5 minutes. You review the draft before it goes.

Content QA Agent

Workflow: New blog post draft, Claude scores it against brand voice and E-E-A-T checklist and missing keywords, lists 3 to 5 specific edits, you approve, auto-publishes to WordPress with an IndexNow ping.

Catches passive voice, weak verbs, and missing entity signals before publish. You always have the last edit.

Customer Support Tier-1 Agent

Workflow: Inbound ticket, agent matches against knowledge base, drafts response with citations, you review in Slack or Linear, approve or rewrite, sends from your support inbox.

AI handles the boring 70 percent (password resets, billing FAQs). Humans handle the 30 percent that needs judgement. No autonomous send.

Need a different agent? Sales prospecting, RevOps reporting, contract review, document processing, GSC monitoring. If it is a defined business process with a clear approval point, it can be built. Tell me what you're trying to automate →

n8n vs Zapier vs Make: Honest Comparison

I don't push n8n on every project. Here's how I actually decide.

When you have... Zapier wins Make wins n8n wins
Simple form-to-CRM (2-3 step flow) maybe
Multi-step branching & looping logic
AI agent orchestration (LangChain, RAG)
High volume (10k+ runs / month) maybe
Self-hosted on your own infra (data privacy)
Custom code in workflow (JS / Python) maybe
Non-technical team can build their own
SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance constraints yes (self-host)

Bottom line: if you're a B2B SaaS team running 10+ workflows a month, hitting Zapier's pricing ceiling, or wiring AI agents into multi-step business processes, switching to n8n usually pays back in the first quarter. If you're sending a Typeform submission to Slack once a day, Zapier is still fine. Don't over-engineer.

Key Terms: What GEO, AEO, AIO, and LLMO Mean in 2026

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
Getting your brand cited inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini. Unlike traditional SEO (ranking on a page), GEO aims to appear inside the AI answer itself.
AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
Formatting content so AI platforms extract it as direct answers. Key tactics: answer-first paragraphs, self-contained definitions, FAQ schema, and named statistics with sources.
AIO (AI Overviews)
Google's AI-generated summaries shown above organic results. They appear in 18.76% of US searches. Brands cited in AI Overviews earn higher click-through rates than standard listings.
LLM Visibility / LLMO
Structuring content and entity signals so Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) cite your brand for relevant queries. Measured by citation frequency and AI Share of Voice.
Google AI Mode
Google's AI-first search experience, launched in 2025. Shows conversational AI responses instead of traditional results. Read the full strategy guide.
Agentic AI Marketing
The 2026 frontier: AI systems that autonomously research prospects, personalize outreach, schedule content, and adjust strategy from real-time data. Gartner projects 15% of marketing decisions will be AI-autonomous by 2028.

Case Study: Daily GSC Monitoring + AI Content Alerts on seosmohub.com

This is one of my own automations running on seosmohub.com, my digital marketing agency site. I built it because I was spending an hour every morning checking Google Search Console for ranking changes and content gaps. The workflow now does that work and emails me a short summary before I open my laptop.

The Workflow (n8n + GSC API + Claude)

  1. Daily trigger at 06:00 IST runs the workflow on n8n.
  2. GSC API pull for yesterday's performance: clicks, impressions, position, CTR per page.
  3. Diff against the previous 7-day rolling average. Flag pages that lost more than 20% impressions or dropped 3+ positions.
  4. Top-queries-no-clicks check. List queries with 50+ impressions and 0 clicks (high-impression, low-CTR opportunities).
  5. Send the flagged data to Claude with a content gap prompt. Claude returns 3 specific edits per flagged page (title tweak, missing FAQ, internal link to add).
  6. Email summary with the diff, Claude's edits, and a "fix now" link to my admin panel. Total runtime: about 90 seconds.

Outcome

  • ~1 hour saved per day. No more morning GSC tab-switching.
  • Catch ranking drops 5+ days earlier. The 20% impression drop trigger flags issues before they hit the GSC dashboard's weekly view.
  • 3 specific content edits delivered daily instead of a vague "you should write more". Each one tied to a real query and a real page.
  • Total cost to run: about $4 per month (n8n cloud Pro tier + Claude API calls).

This is the exact pattern I deliver in the One-Off Build tier. The same workflow translates directly to any site doing SEO. Different keywords and pages, same engine. If you want to see the actual n8n workflow file (importable JSON), I share it during the free workflow audit. Book your audit →

Frequently Asked Questions

AI marketing automation is the use of artificial intelligence tools and workflows to execute marketing tasks that previously required manual human effort — including content creation, SEO research, lead scoring, email personalisation, social media publishing and performance reporting. Unlike traditional marketing automation (rule-based sequences), AI automation adapts dynamically to data, making decisions and personalising communications at a scale impossible for human teams.
The AI tool stack depends on your specific needs and existing tech stack. Commonly used tools include: Claude and GPT-4 for content generation and analysis, Perplexity for real-time research, Make.com and Zapier for workflow automation, Notion AI and Airtable for content operations, Surfer SEO and SEMrush for AI-assisted SEO, HubSpot and ActiveCampaign for AI-enhanced CRM and nurturing. I do not recommend tools based on affiliates — only based on what produces the best results for your specific use case.
AI-generated content that is low-quality, generic or factually inaccurate will hurt your rankings — this is what Google's helpful content system targets. However, AI-assisted content that is genuinely helpful, accurately represents expertise and is reviewed by a subject matter expert performs excellently in search. My AI content workflows include human review checkpoints, fact verification and brand voice calibration — producing content that consistently outperforms traditionally-written content in organic performance.
Based on client implementations, well-designed AI marketing automation typically saves 15–40 hours per week depending on your current marketing operations. The biggest time savings come from: content production (60–80% reduction in writing time), SEO research and briefing (70% reduction), reporting and data analysis (80% reduction), and lead follow-up sequences (90% reduction through automation). This freed-up time allows your team to focus on strategy, relationships and creative work.
Absolutely — small businesses often get the biggest ROI from AI automation because they have the most to gain from scaling their marketing capacity without adding headcount. A two-person marketing team with good AI workflows can produce the output of a 6–8 person team. I design lightweight, affordable AI automation systems specifically for SMBs — starting from simple content pipelines and reporting dashboards, scaling to full marketing automation as your business grows.
It depends on the workflow. Zapier wins on simple form-to-CRM pipes when speed-to-launch is everything. Make sits in the middle. n8n wins on AI agents, branching logic, scale (10,000+ runs per month), self-hosting for data privacy, and any workflow that needs custom code. I do not push n8n on every project. During the free audit I tell you which platform fits each automation, with reasoning.
A regular automation follows fixed rules: when X happens, do Y. An AI agent uses reasoning. It analyzes the input, picks the next step from a set of options, and adapts the output based on context. Example: a lead qualification agent reads a form submission, decides whether the lead is ICP-fit, drafts a personalised reply that references their company, and routes to the right teammate. The rule-based version would just send the same auto-reply to everyone.
Every AI agent I build has a human approval gate before anything ships to a customer, publishes to a website, or charges a card. AI drafts, you review, you approve. The Klarna failure (700 AI agents replaced, 22% CSAT drop, rehired humans in 2025) happened because they let agents send autonomously. I do not. The AI saves you time on the boring 70%; you still have the last edit on the 30% that matters.
Pricing depends on scope. A 3-step Zapier-to-n8n migration is not the same as a 12-step multi-agent system. After the free workflow audit I send a fixed quote with the deliverable, timeline, and price. You decide whether to move forward. No surprise invoices, no hourly billing.
Yes. n8n is open-source and runs on your own server, in your own cloud, or in your VPC. That means your customer data never leaves your security perimeter. I have set up self-hosted n8n on AWS, GCP, and Hetzner for clients with SOC 2 or ISO 27001 constraints. I can help you choose between n8n Cloud and self-hosted based on your compliance posture.
GEO optimizes your content to earn citations inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Claude. In 2026, 18.76% of US Google searches show an AI Overview. If your brand is not structured for AI citation, you are invisible to a growing segment of buyers.
AEO focuses on content structure: answer-first paragraphs, FAQ schema, self-contained definitions, and named statistics. GEO is broader. It includes AEO plus brand entity signals, third-party mentions, and authority indicators. Most engagements implement both together.
Traditional automation follows fixed rules. AI automation applies reasoning. It analyzes behavior, predicts buying intent, adapts content, and adjusts campaigns in real time. Result: 20 to 30% higher ROI (McKinsey 2025).
AI Overviews are Google's AI-generated summaries above organic results. To get cited you need: direct-answer content, structured data (FAQPage, HowTo schema), strong domain authority, and content formatted for extraction.
$6.71 return per $1 invested (Nucleus Research). 544% ROI over three years (Marketo 2026). 76% of teams achieve positive ROI within year one. AI-driven campaigns add 20 to 30% more ROI than rule-based ones (McKinsey).
A single n8n workflow with a clear scope: 1 to 2 weeks from kickoff to production. A multi-workflow suite with AI agents: 4 to 6 weeks. GEO and AEO results: first AI citations within 2 to 4 weeks, Share of Voice growth over 60 to 90 days. Most workflows save measurable time within the first 2 weeks of going live.
